Social Events at RMA17

We're pleased to present a calendar of social events throughout the conference. These events are presented to delegates as an opportunity for networking and making new friends – or catching up with old ones!

Future Generalists' Networking Night

Date: Wednesday, 18 October 2017
Time: 6.30pm until late
Location: Prahran Hotel, 82 High Street, Prahran
Cost: Included in Conference ticket

This is an excellent opportunity to meet and network with other students and specially invited doctor delegates before the conference is in full swing. Meet some people to attend sessions with and have a social night out. This will be followed immediately by a networking event with leaders in the industry. RSVP during registration as numbers are limited! Complimentary drinks and light snacks available.

New Fellows Reception

Date: Thursday, 19 October 2017
Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Location: Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, Park Room
Cost: Included in Conference ticket

New Fellows and their partners are invited to attend a cocktail reception to celebrate their recent achievements. This is an opportunity for the College to acknowledge the success of its most recent Fellows.

This private event is open to new Fellows and their family.

RDAA Presidents' Breakfast

Date: Friday, 20 October 2017
Time: 7.00am – 8.20am
Location: Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, State Room
Cost: Included in Conference ticket

Facilitated by ABC radio presenter and medical journalist Dr Norman Swan, the Presidents' Breakfast forum will cover a range of current and topical health matters. Key issues to be covered include the implementation of a National Rural Generalist Pathway in Australia and the maldistribution of doctors between urban and rural Australia.

Conference Dinner

Date: Friday, 20 October 2017
Time: 6.30pm – 10.30pm
Location: The Pavilion, Melbourne Arts Centre
Cost: $160 pp

Enjoy a delicious three course meal and drinks, applaud award winners, and dance to the music of a great live band. Tickets are available for sale when registering, or contact us on rmaconference@acrrm.org.au for more information. There will be complimentary shuttle buses providing transfers for attendees to the conference dinner, to and from the Pullman Melbourne.

Recovery Breakfast

Enjoy the conference dinner a little too much? Refuel and recover with a delicious egg and bacon muffin, a selection of pastries, fresh fruit and coffee/tea. Just grab it and head straight into the plenary session.
