Session 1 : This interactive, case-based workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to explore the best practice management of lipids in the context of absolute CVD risk and discuss ways to optimise lipid levels and reduce CVD risk by adequately trialling statin therapy. (55 mins). Session 2 : Soap Box : An integrated approach to teen health care : Teen Clinic. Biography

Meghan Campbell graduated from the University of Western Sydney in 2002 with a Bachelor of Nursing. Her initial work was hospital based which she throughly enjoyed. She has also had experience in Community based nursing. Megahan is a passionate Primary Care nurse. She enjoys working and at times leading the multidisciplinary team with whom she works. Meghan believes that holistic care can only be delivered by a team of clinicians, each respectful and appreciative of other members skills.

Biography

Natalie Raffoul is currently a Senior Clinical Program Officer at NPS MedicineWise and is the Clinical Lead for the recently launched NPS Dyslipideamia and Diabetes educational programs. She has a background as a Cardiovascular hospital pharmacist, moderator for the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and a tutor for the NAPE Intern Pharmacists training program. She has implemented many quality improvement projects within a hospital setting across the areas of cardiology and mental health, specifically on the topics of non-vitamin-K oral anticoagulants and patient education in an inpatient mental health setting. This research has been presented at various national conferences in Australia.

Biography

Dr Allison Turnock is a GP who currently works as the Director- Rural Pathways, and Medical Director- GP & Primary Care at the Department of Health and Human Services in Tasmania. In her Rural Pathways role she is facilitating the Tasmanian Rural Medical Generalist Pathway. The TRMGP aims to assist future rural generalists in Tasmania gain the skills they need in their community on their journey from medical student, to intern, RMO, registrar and GP Fellow.

Session 3: Paper presentation : The community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS) working together to care for patients in the community

Biography

Fay Walsh completed a Bachelor Health Science in Nursing, in 1994 and subsequently gained a Graduate Diploma in Gerontology, and E-Health as well as a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management. Fay was employed by the Department of Health and Human Services as Assistant Director of Nursing GP, Primary Care, and lead the ComRRS Proof of Concept project. Allison Turnock is a GP who currently works as the Director- Rural Pathways, and Medical Director- GP & Primary Care at the Department of Health and Human Services in Tasmania. She is part of the Purchasing Planning and Performance unit who seek to secure the establishment of ComRRS as business as usual after the successful Proof of Concept project.
