The past few years have seen the introduction of several major health Policy initiatives, including the MBS Review, Health Care Homes, PHNs, the Integrated Training Pipeline and other workforce programs and arrangements that can potentially change the face of rural health. Biography

Andrew Kirke is a GP practicing family medicine and obstetrics. In addition to clinical work he is involved in teaching and research through the Rural Clinical School of WA. He has worked as a rural GP for seventeen years in Kalgoorlie, Derby and most recently, Bunbury. Special interests include rural obstetrics, junior doctor rural training and medical education. Andrew is the current President of Rural Doctors Association of WA.
