Overview
This workshop aims to build the knowledge base of the GP in the field of eye care and to understand the role of the optometrist in managing eye disease. The workshop will include case studies and be highly interactive.

Biography
After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2003, Simon went on to work for 2 years at the Australian College of Optometry, completing the Clinical Residency before moving into the private sector. He opened his own private clinic in 2006. He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Optometry in 2006 and Postgraduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics in 2007. In 2011 he returned to The University of Melbourne as a Senior Clinical Teaching Instructor and completed a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching. Simon is currently the National Clinical Policy Adviser with Optometry Australia.
