Overview
                The presentation will include the scientific evidence base as well as simple explanations as to how acupuncture works.
Medical acupuncture treatments and a simple approach to pain examination will be demonstrated with patients included during this workshop.

Biography
                    Dr Ian Relf MBBS, MSc, DipRACOG, FRACGP, FAMAC
Dr Relf consults as the Medical Acupuncturist for the Austin Hospital Cancer Centre in Melbourne. He is in private practice in both Melbourne and in semi rural practice. 
Previously he did 10 years full time country general practice / 7 years casualty VMO before venturing into medical acupuncture. He is a published author in clinical trial research and uses acupuncture as an evidenced based tool in conjunction with recognised medical care.
