The "A Better Culture" Project

Abstract Overview

The cultivation of a health system devoid of discrimination and bullying is pivotal for the development of a robust healthcare workforce. A recent survey among medical professionals has unveiled profound instances of discrimination, bullying, harassment, and racism (ref). Of importance in the analysis of the data, were negative experiences disproportionately reported by doctors who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. In response, the Australasian College of Medical Administrators collaborated with the Federal Government and other stakeholders to initiate the “A Better Culture” project. This initiative aims to combat discrimination and foster a healthier, more inclusive work environment.
