Professor Paul Worley, Dean of Medicine, Flinders University will outline the development of WHO global toolkit for evaluating health workforce education and the possible implications for rural medical training in Australia. This will be followed with a report from the 15th International Health Workforce Collaborative (IHWC) held in London in May 2015 by Anthony Wall, Research and Policy Manager, Rural Health Workforce Australia. Anthony will provide a brief summary of the major themes discussed, focussing on those of relevance in the Australian rural and remote context. The presenters will be open to questions / discussion following their presentations.
