This workshop, presented by the Lung Foundation Australia aims to: • Outline the importance of early detection and management of people with COPD; • Describe the steps in risk assessment, case finding and diagnosing a patient using spirometry; • Facilitate hands-on opportunities for participants to conduct lung screening tests using a lung screening device; • Present spirometry case studies for discussion; • Discuss building systems based approaches into general practice for risk assessment, case finding and diagnosing patients with COPD; • Discuss linkages with other health professionals; Presenter : Dr Kerry Hancock and Ms Judy Powell
