Details
ASSOC PROF STEPHEN BRADSHAW from Canberra ACT is a full time Vascular Surgeon, practising in private practice. He is a Visiting Medical Officer and Head of the Vascular Surgery Unit at the Canberra Hospital, a position he has held for the past 15 years. He has been involved in medical regulation for more than 16 years.
In 2009, Associate Professor Stephen Bradshaw was appointed as a National Board member of the Medical Board of Australia which is responsible for registration and regulation of all doctors in Australia.
Prior to 2010, Australia had medical boards in each state and territory. Associate Professor Bradshaw was first appointed to the ACT Medical Board in 1998. From 2006 he was President and has held the position of Chair of the ACT Medical Board since 2009.
He has been involved in the administration of surgery, as a previous Director of the Division of Surgery at the Canberra Hospital, and as Chairman of the Board and Director of Medical Services and at the John James Memorial Hospital.
